“Josh came out to look at my 1996 furnace that was acting up. I had a good idea what the problem was, and Josh confirmed it. Turned out the part and labor would have been a fifth of a new furnace replacement. Josh offered either to fix the furnace at that price or a new furnace. Being the age of the furnace and all, I figured it was time to be replaced. Josh gave me a good quote on a new furnace. He explained the different levels of furnaces offered and the size need, etc. The quote was good and 4 days later Devon and Ron showed up to install my furnace and bring everything up to code. They put down tarps on the carpet stairs and wood floors in the basement. The two spent the day removing and installing the new furnace. They showed care and quality with the work they did. I often looked in to take photos as the progress went on and each time, they would explain what had been completed and the new updates. etc. When all the work was completed and everything cleaned up on the same day, they explained how the furnace worked and what they had done completely. I was very impressed with everyone I came in contact with, from the first phone call with Joanna to the final call with her sister Lillian, both very nice and understanding my situation. There brother Josh was very personable also and we enjoyed talking more than just furnace things. Devon and Ron were great, very polite and provided all the knowledge I asked. The furnace is working great and very efficient at keeping the house at the correct temperature selected. Thank you all for your help and I would certainly recommend anyone who needs a big job done to trust Efficient Comfort!”

The technician (Devon) was very helpful and honest in recommending I have the unit serviced (charged) with the obsolete and very expensive R22 coolant as the units still looked to be in good shape. The level of low charge was about what he’d expect for units that had not been serviced in more than 10 years and were not likely leaking coolant at a concerning rate. While my units are near the end of their lives I avoided a major and unplanned expense! But when it is time to replace the units I will definitely reach out to Efficient Comfort!”

“I had a furnace service call with Wes Thursday. He was the technician on my previous call. Wes ws great professional explained all the options and worked to set up furnace replace for Friday. Lilian and Joanna we also great and responsive coordinating the call. Devon was the install lead he was on time professional explained all elements. I took my dog for a walk and when I returned I noticed the front door was sticking. I discovered that the bottom edge of the door and weather strip had been damaged. I pointed it out to Devon who placed a temporary repair on the door. He told me he would let Jim know and that he would make it right. The furnace and thermostat was finished and working well. The install team removed the A/C compressor in prep for the new one when weather and schedules permit. This morning (Saturday) it appears to me that the humidifier which was reinstalled is not working as well as it was beed working. Also when I went out to shovel snow I noticed that both of my side gates were left open. That probably occurred when the A/C compressor was removed. That by itself is not a huge issue. However I have a dog that I let out in the backyard and he could have easily left the yard which is a concern for me. The entire team worked hard to complete the service. Over all it was very good. Thank you.

“At the height of the heat wave in June, my AC stopped working. I called a few repair places, one of whom wouldn't come to my 8th floor condo at all. Efficient Comfort got back to me quickly and scheduled me a couple of days out (not surprising though given the heat that week). Luckily the 100 degree weather didn't persist over the two-day wait period. Dan Hogan, the service technician, arrived on time as scheduled. He went to work and found I had a couple of blown fuses. I was very grateful he didn't try to upsell me a $400+ repair, which has happened to me previously, and only replaced the fuses for a very reasonable price (I think!) because I fully expected another high priced repair. I was thrilled about that.
As for Dan, he was very courteous and friendly, worked quickly and found my problem quickly. He was also a really nice guy. I wholeheartedly recommend this company and Dan Hogan, service technician. I will definitely be calling Efficient Comfort in the future for any repairs/upgrades to my current AC.

“6/29/2022 I noticed that our AC had been running for hours so I checked a vent and found the air coming out was not cold. I went outside and found that the fan was not running. My wife checked reviews for companies in our area and called Efficient Comfort. It was after hours so she left a message. We spent a long hot night that night. We were wondering if this was repairable or if replacement was required, and how long will it take to resolve. Before 9:00 the next morning we got a call from a very pleasant person who said someone could look into our problem between 12:00 and 4:00 that day. By 11:15 I received at text saying that Chuck was on the way, picture included. A few minutes before 12:00 Chuck arrived and introduced himself. I told him that the AC air was not cold and the fan outside was not running. He said “Let’s take a look”. He removed the fuses next to the AC unit and then removed a side cover on the AC unit. He said “Your run capacitor is bad, I don’t even need to test it.” I asked why and he explained that the top and bottom of the capacitor were originally flat not domed. He went to his truck and returned with a replacement. He told me what the cost of replacement would be and I said “Great, do it”. The night before I had researched possible causes of my problem and potential costs. The cost was right on expected average cost. He installed the capacitor and put the AC unit back together while we talked about the condition of my 17 year old system and what I could expect in the future. I asked him about what I should expect cost wise when system replacement was required. He gave me ball park cost on a couple of different scenarios and suggested their semi-annual maintenance program, but didn’t pressure. After a total of about 7 minutes since he arrived the AC was working again. He tested the temp of the air coming out, it was slightly better than expected. We handled the payment exercise, then he wanted to look at the furnace room. He inspected the air filter, said it was the recommended type and that we should replace it a little more often. He noticed that there was paper towel wrapped around the humidifier drain pipe. I told him that was left over from a couple years ago when it got clogged and backed up. I cut and replaced a portion of the PVC drain pipe I wrapped the paper towel around the pipe so I ‘d know if the fix worked. I ended up getting my AC fixed in less than 24 hours for a reasonable price, got good advice about what to expect concerning future repairs, and eventual replacement.
